Nike Football – Launch Dutch National Team kit
For the Spring ’15 launch of the Dutch national team away kit, our mission was simple: Re-energise FOT’s for the Dutch national team and drive the number of Nike memberships through the Nike Football App. After some disappointing results of the Dutch national team, it was time to rekindle the fire.
AKQA was asked to create online buzz and awareness around the launch of the new away kit through a digital plan that includes the social channels of Nike Football, Nike.com, Nike Football App, athlete channels, influencer channels and partner channels around three key moments: comms launch, retail launch and on pitch launch. Our main athlete for this activation was Gregory van der Wiel, who fought his way back in the team, to emphasise our proposition of ‘Dial up the hunger’.
For this launch I’ve:
- created the digital content plan for Nike owned, influencer and athlete channels
- wrote authentic stories for the Nike Football App in English and Dutch
- wrote and build the social posts for Nike owned, influencer and athlete channels
